Bellevue Road proposed improvements: Have you had your say?

18 May 2018

Your local Liberal Democrats are making sure you are aware of Wandsworth Council's proposals to remodel the Bellevue Road commercial area. Consultation closes on 15 June 2018.

The last consultation on these proposals only received 45 responses, suggesting a lack of effort by your Conservative-run Council to proactively reach out to local residents, and we want to make sure you use your opportunity to have your say.

The council is proposing changes to pavements, local road entrances, street lights and cycle parking along Bellevue Road.

Olly Glover, Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Tooting, said:

"The plans do nothing to address the problems of air pollution and high business rates, reducing the economic diversity of businesses in the area. There is nothing in there to make it easier to cross the road and access Wandsworth Common, or to reduce traffic speeds. Once again, a lack of creative thinking on how to improve our local economy and environment is being demonstrated by the Conservative-run Council."
